This intensive covers detailed information on key topics including:

This intensive aims to provide performing artists of all genres with the tools, resources, and coaching to advance their careers.

YE Torres (ms. YET) is an interdisciplinary performance artist and specialty entertainer, specializing in flow arts, bellydance and fire manipulation. She holds dual BFAs in Drawing & Painting and Fashion Design from the University of North Texas and multiple dance and yoga-based certifications, including Rachel Brice's 8 Elements™ of Belly Dance Phase 3: Culmination.
Torres is an arts educator, mentor, movement instructor, and Learning and Public Programs Manager at Contemporary Art Museum Houston. She is the Executive Artistic Director of the Renegade Carnies, a Texas based performance art and specialty entertainment collective, she co-founded in 2008. She is an established member of the East End Cultural Arts Task Force for Houston’s East End Cultural District, as well as a member of BIPOC Arts Network and Fund (BANF) Advisory & Accountability Council and a facilitator of BANF’s Arts Education Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Program. She is a Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA) Spring 2024 Artist Leadership Fellow and an Artist INC Artist Peer Facilitator.
Torres is also a Flame Effects Operator, licensed by the state of Texas, and an appointed Principal on the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Special Effects (SPE-AAA) Committee. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Interdisciplinary Practice and Emerging Forms, alongside an MA in Arts Leadership at the University of Houston.
